As we embark on the second edition of Design Doha, we recognize the profound challenges facing many in the region. Yet, even in moments of darkness, light emerges and hope springs from the creative spirit and resilience of our communities.​

In 2026, Design Doha invites the world to look beyond the finished creations and into the processes, landscapes, and narratives that bring them to life. By exploring the cultural, ethical, and ecological contexts that shape region design, we celebrate its transformative potential as a force for resilience and unity.​

The second edition of Design Doha will shine a light on the beauty of our region's cultural and creative expressions, while championing innovation that serves humanity through ethical and sustainable approaches to production. In doing so, we reaffirm the power of design to inspire, uplift, and connect us all to a brighter, more hopeful future.​

We’re back! Design Doha 2024 set a new benchmark for contemporary Arab design, bringing together hundreds of designers and 118,000 visitors through exhibitions, programming, and commissions. It was a celebration of the region’s creative energy, cultural depth, and craftsmanship. As we look ahead to 2026, we recognize the challenges facing the region. Yet, creativity remains a powerful force for hope. Our second edition will take you “behind the scenes” of design as a tool for transformation—an inspiring lens on the future of Arab creativity -Glenn Adamson

In 2026, we will expand our activation across the country, positioning design at the very heart of our urban fabric. Grounded in our rich Islamic and Middle Eastern heritage, we will reimagine public spaces through our own unique expressions, enhancing their accessibility, walkability, and vibrancy. Through collaboration and innovation, Design Doha will not only celebrate our cultural identity but also drive economic growth, foster education, and facilitate creative exchange. Design Doha Prize

The Design Doha Prize is a prestigious biennial initiative providing recognition and support for exceptional talents in the fields of design across the The Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MENASA) region. Four designers are selected across 4 different design categories: Craft, Product Design​. Furniture Design​ and Emerging Talent. ​ The prize empowers these designers, provides them with valuable guidance, and showcases their work to a wider audience.​

Design Doha 2024

the inaugural edition of Design Doha set the stage for a bold new design movement in the region. Featuring Arab Design Now, a landmark exhibition spotlighting 74 designers from across the Arab world, the biennale explored the evolving narratives of design through immersive showcases, thought-provoking talks, and interactive workshops. Rooted in the themes of tradition, innovation, and sustainability, Design Doha 2024 established a foundation for ongoing creative exchange and positioned the biennale as a vital force in shaping the future of design.
