Embrace Blue aims to seamlessly blend traditional Qatari architecture with a modern contemporary twist in the realm of furniture and furnishings. The collection draws inspiration from the rich cultural heritage of Qatar, particularly emphasizing the intricate details found in local architecture.
MOMENTAL CONTEMPLATION
The bench, an elemental feature to an urban landscape, invites passerby to a momentary halt. The large charred wood is a symbolic manifestation of introspection, stands as a metaphorical wheel stopper, urging individuals to pause and consider their life's velocity.
JALSET SAWA BOOTH
A marvel of 3D printing, Jalset Sawa echoes the undulating sand dunes of Doha, seamlessly blending design with the landscape.
ANATOMY OF A MAJLIS
Anatomy of a Majlis encourages visitors to explore the various roles of the majlis: Does it merely provide entertainment, or does it also offer a haven for privacy? How does it serve as a platform for meaningful conversations, and in what ways can it facilitate deeper engagement in today's context?
BARIID
BARIID is chair designed by Altqadum, debuting at Design Doha in an interactive path installation, revealing the chair and inviting the audience to try it out.
THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT IS CHANGING
This installation invites visitors to be seated in the dark room surrounded by four loudspeakers in which they can experience a ”Deep Listening” of recording made across different ecosystems.
ROOM OF AZERBAIJAN
The exhibition explores the visual identity of Azerbaijan by bringing together tradition and modernity. Each item is handcrafted by local craftsmen — painters, sculptors, and artisans who draw inspiration from ancient techniques and cultural heritage.
Kuwait Design Hub: An Eco-Cultural Tapestry
Kuwait Design Hub is a dynamic showcase of innovative works by Kuwait-based designers who intricately weave sustainable practices with the rich tapestry of contemporary Arab identity, creating a unique platform that highlights the fusion of environmental consciousness and cultural heritage in modern design.
