Design Doha marked its presence in Dubai through a series of initiatives presented in collaboration with regional partners and hosted across Dubai Design District. These activations coincided with the international launch of Arab Design Now, a landmark publication surveying contemporary design practices across the MENASA region. Published by Qatar Museums in collaboration with Silvana Editoriale, the book brings together architectural, material, craft, fashion, graphic, and object-based practices, foregrounding both design outcomes and the contexts that shape them.
Through a private gathering, public discussions, and a dedicated reading lounge activation, Design Doha engaged designers, curators, and audiences in conversations around contemporary Arab design, knowledge production, and regional collaboration. This participation reinforced Design Doha’s role as a platform for exchange—connecting designers across geographies, strengthening regional networks, and contributing to a more visible and interconnected design ecosystem across the MENASA region and beyond.
