The Interview

What inspired you to pursue a career in design?
Creating places for connection with one another, with nature, with different cultures, with heritage.

What is your design philosophy or approach to creative problem-solving?
For every project - whether designing a space or an object - I start by searching for the question I would like to reflect on with people engaging with my work. Aiming to create a shared moment of reflection and connection.

What role do you think design plays in shaping communities and culture in the MENASA region?
Design is a silent language, one that transmits knowledge and traditions, that helps us question the times we live in, it translates the societies we live in a specific time.

How do you stay inspired and continue to evolve your creative practice?
Being curious, discovering different cultures, reading, writing, watching films, spending time with my family and mostly experiencing life.
