Abdulrahman Al Muftah is an accomplished interdisciplinary artist, entrepreneur, and designer, dedicated to preserving cultural heritage and tradition through creative endeavors. With a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design in New York, a Master of Arts in Arts & Design Entrepreneurship from Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, and currently pursuing a PhD in Women's Studies at Hamad bin Khalifa University in Qatar, Abdulrahman brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his work.

The Interview
What inspired you to pursue a career in design?
I loved putting this together to create a solution for me it made so much sense as a young creative growing up in Qatar
How does your cultural or regional context influence your design work?
I'm inspired by the little town that I come in of Al Wara in Qatar and more specifically I'm interested in how things are being put together.
What is your design philosophy or approach to creative problem-solving?
Everything is possible.
Who are your design influences or mentors, and how have they shaped your work?
There are many influences in my life is specifically the environment that I'm living in the things that I'm surrounded with are usually what inspires me to create things.
What role do you think design plays in shaping communities and culture in the MENASA region?
Design has an important role in shaping communities design as an active way of influencing.
