Presented by SANAE at Design Doha Biennale 2026, Traces of the Desert Light explores design as a sensory and relational process shaped by material, architecture, and Doha’s distinctive luminosity. Light acts as an active force—revealing, softening, and transforming surfaces throughout the day—inviting visitors to slow down and experience design as atmosphere and presence rather than spectacle. Bringing together collaborative works by Morevi x Majdulin Nasrallah, Moss Studio × Josef Gereige, Ayse Habibe Kucuk, and Studio Khachatryan x Shaikha Al-Sulaiti, the exhibition foregrounds craft as shared knowledge rooted in tactility and dialogue. Through restrained scenography and site-responsive composition, it emphasizes process over product, positioning design as a practice of sensitivity and cross-cultural collaboration.
