Design Doha Prize 2026
Design Doha Prize 2026 demonstrates a commitment to excellence, innovation, and cultural relevance, positioning itself as a key player in shaping the future of design on the world stage.
- Announcing the winners at the Prize Ceremony in April at the Museum of Islamic Art designed by IM pei.
- 300 people will attend the event, among them will be finalists, jurors, influencers, renowned designers, partners, sponsors, and businessmen.
Each category winner will receive a financial grant of 200,000 QAR, alongside invaluable recognition and exposure through our media partners. Additionally, winners will benefit from a residency, a mentorship, and the winners will also have their designs carried for one season, opening doors to global retail.
GENERAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Applicants must be either citizens or residents of the MENA Region.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old by the application due Date.
- Applicants must be available to participate in the judging session in April 2026.
- The prize can be received only once by a designer.
- Applicants should have a background in design.
- A designer can win a prize in only one of the submitted categories.
- Applicants in the Emerging Talents category should be currently enrolled in a design program or have earned a design degree from 2024, and 2025.
- Design Doha will borrow the highlighted project submitted in the application for display and will return it. This will be subject to a separate loan agreement.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants will be required to submit the following documents to apply:
- Completed application form (including statements).
- A budget that details how the grant money (prize) would be spent
- A portfolio of the latest collections/products showcasing the designer’s /company’s work.
- Company/Personal Profile: Background information on the designer or design company.
- A specific project that best demonstrates your skills and approach relevant to this application. This highlighted project should be presented in greater detail, along with a brief explanation of your design process.
