Discover the rich artistic heritage of the Arab world with an exclusive architectural and cultural tour of Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art. Situated in a renovated former school building in Education City, Mathaf houses the world’s largest collection of modern and contemporary Arab art, with over 9,000 artworks reflecting the region’s deep cultural and historical connections.

Founded in 2010 under the leadership of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Mathaf was born from the visionary efforts of H.E. Sheikh Hassan bin Mohammed bin Ali Al Thani, who began collecting artworks in the early 1990s. The museum stands as a center for dialogue, research, and artistic production, bridging the past with contemporary expression.
