The Prize is chaired by Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and adjudicated by a distinguished jury headed by award-winning designer India Mahdavi, reflecting Design Doha’s commitment to celebrating excellence, supporting creative ambition, and fostering a culture of innovation that positions Doha as a global capital for design. The Design Doha Prize is honored to be guided by an esteemed international jury that includes some of the most influential figures in global design and architecture, such as Rossana Orlandi, Lina Ghotmeh, and Herves Lemoine. Their collective expertise ensures a rigorous and inspiring evaluation process that celebrates innovation, craftsmanship, and cultural relevance across disciplines.

Design Doha Prize is a prestigious biennial award recognizing outstanding design talent from across the MENASA region. As the first initiative of its kind in the region, it provides meaningful support and international visibility to emerging and established designers through a highly competitive open call.
Four winners are selected in the categories of Craft, Product Design, Furniture Design, and Emerging Talent, each receiving a QAR 200,000 in monetary grant, 2-week mentorship at Vitra Campus with visits to leading partners, including Porsche, one year of free design studio spaces provided by Liwan Design Studios and Labs, access to global retail through Liberty London, and significant public recognition for one year provided by AD Middle East, ensuring long-term impact in regional and global markets.
